I’ve said it before and I will say it again… getting traffic to your website is all about incoming links and search engines. There are hundreds of creative ways to get visitors to go to your site… thousands actually. Some of these methods are easy, some are difficult, some are just plain stupid, most are very time consuming. If you are reading this I assume that you have a website that could use more visitors. Your ultimate goal should be to rank high in search engines, ideally the free results. Why?

1. Consistency - Free search engine traffic is constant and dependable. You never know when your links on other websites might be removed, deleted, or changed. Search engines give you a constant flow of targeted traffic over a long period of time.

2. Targeted Traffic - The traffic that you recieve from search engines will be (for the most part) real people looking for real things. They typed some key words into a search engine and then clicked on your link, these are not people who randomly stumbled upon your site.

3. Its Free - You can save a lot of money on advertising by ranking high in the search engines. Using pay per click programs and paying for incoming links can be overwhelming for anyone trying to make profit online.
